Launching a Purpose-Led Business Without Burning Out

A founder was preparing to launch a new collective—bringing two decades of impact work into a fresh offering. Jess had helped scale mission-driven organizations from $14M to $170M and raised over $70M for national systems-change efforts. But when it came time to launch The Helia Collective solo, she realized how much she needed a thought partner, both for the questions she was thinking about and for the ones she couldn't see alone.

I helped her center her offering, from UX journeys to getting a tight strategic plan. Honing her vision until it was both the right kind of targeted AND expansive for the beta. I reviewed launch emails, product structure, and value communication with a product strategist’s lens. And, perhaps what Jess valued the most, I consistently challenged her patterns of working too much and doing it all herself. I reframed her thinking on what was possible and what "good" looked like. shifting from urgent to thinking more holistically about what might be possible and what good could be.

The Deep Dive provided Jess with the following takeaways:

  • Strategic Clarity: We refined the core of her offering, clarifying who it was for, what it was rooted in, and how it would uniquely serve her audience, the Doers. Jess shifted from holding it all in her head to having a structured, intentional launch vision that honored both her legacy and her next chapter.
  • Tactical Support: I helped break the idea into parts: refining UX journeys, reviewing launch emails and messaging, and stress-testing the product structure. With a strategist’s eye, I gave feedback on content, positioning, and practical next steps, including draft comms and suggested sequencing.
