Growing Her Business by Teaching What She Knows

One massage therapist came in juggling 15 clients a week, three kids, and no more hours to give. Donna is a skilled Brazilian lymphatic drainage practitioner with advanced training in oncology massage—but she hadn’t yet thought about how to scale her expertise beyond her hands. She didn’t want to raise prices and risk making her practice inaccessible to the loyal clients she’s built her business around. In one conversation, we mapped a new path: launching an entry-level training for her technique, then building modular courses around specialty topics—cancer care, pregnancy, and practice-building. It was the spark she needed to see herself not just as a practitioner, but as a teacher and entrepreneur. Our work honored her values while opening up a new income stream—making her business more sustainable without compromising what matters. (“I always wanted to be a teacher,” she said. “Now I can actually see how.”)

The Deep Dive provided Donna with the following takeaways:

  • Strategic Clarity: Donna named a new direction for growth, teaching her method instead of working more hours.
  • Tactical Support: Donna needed to break the big idea into steps. We built a roadmap, starting with one foundational course, then added niche modules. We mapped a new path: launching an entry-level training for her technique, then building modular courses around specialty topics: cancer care, pregnancy, and practice-building.
  • Sustainable Foundation: We designed a model that protected Donna’s time, kept services accessible, and built towards long-term impact. “I always wanted to be a teacher,” Donna said. “Now I can actually see how.” Our work honored her values while opening up a new income stream, making her business more sustainable without compromising what matters.
